Entry 05 - The Decision

My family, my band family, my friends, they did a miracle. They helped me back on my feet and figure out what I needed to do to get through it. My friends Bax and Anthony, singer and drummer of DeadHearts, helped me realise it was the process of working with my hands on cars that I loved. It was the place that was wrong, not the trade itself.

Ant was the owner of Skull and Bones Boys Club, a big clothing label at the time, and he understood what it really meant to work and create something for yourself, not because you have to.
That was it.
I made my choice.
I quit my job after almost eleven years. I wanted to start my own garage, building and restoring vehicles. So I did.
The first thing I did after handing in my notice was march down to my dad's tattoo artist and beg him to tattoo HAND MADE above my eye. Solidifying that I would never be employed again. I felt free for the first time in a long time.
