Filed from South Yorkshire - "First attempt"

With this new vision of getting into the fashion world, I started swapping the hammers and tools for screen printing squeegees and sewing needles.

Me and Elena joined forces for the first time.

We bought an old one colour screen printing press from a friend in Retford who had a print shop. It was originally a four colour, but the other three arms were long gone.

Dan's been a big inspiration to me, as I stepped forward into his world. He sorted us out with everything we needed for a home set up.

A screen, already developed, with a design that combined my garage TDP logo and my partner's tattoo design´s. Some pots of ink. A squeegee. A heat gun.

We spent around two hundred pounds in total for the whole set up. So we went home, got online and grabbed some blank tees.

Tried it out in our apartment on a tiny Ikea desk, our cat watching horrified at the sheer mess we made.

I found out pretty fast. It's not as easy as it looks. I'd watched Ant and Dan do this so many times, they made screen printing look so effortless and fluid.

After many failed attempts, inky fingerprints, misaligned prints, and all kinds of other issues, the learning curve eventually started to level out. Things became easier, and before long, we were making pieces like these.

I started learning how to take the photos, document the process, and figure out everything else that came with it.

I was hooked.
